Ernst Levy Collection:
Ernst Levy (1895-1981), at the age of 6 an already celebrated “Wunderkind” pianist, played with orchestras all over Europe. Later, Ernst emigrated to the U.S. where he developed further his musical career and became one of the most important pianists and composers of his generation.
The Library of the University of Basel and Load.CD have embarked on a major project to digitize and make available these works by sponsoring and supporting Frank Ezra Levy, the son of Ernst Levy, (who is himself an acclaimed composer) to publish his father’s entire life’s work!
The project began in 2009 and Load.CD will gradually make available the works in a series of releases in 2010. The detailed dates will be provided on the personal sites of Frank Ezra Levy and Ernst Levy on Load.CD.
Load.CD Printed Edition:
The Load.CD Printed Edition is a trilingual publication (English, German, Russian), which includes a number of selected compositions from contemporary composers. The publication celebrates the amazing richness of contemporary works and provides more than 100 pages of special sheet music to play, along with the composers’ biographies and work introductions.

Expressive power of the tango language inspired many composers, including Igor Stravinsky, Erik Satie, John Cage, Alfred Schnittke, etc. "Dance by candlelight" for a string quartet by Michelle Diehl is a little drama piece with great meaning. This short story, expressed by the author on just several pages, tells us about the lifetime of a tremulous human soul. more
